Project Assistant- Part Time 

Parker Jewish Institute is seeking a Part Time Project Assistant to join this five year grant-funded project under the Alzheimer's Disease Caregiver Support Initiative.


The Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation, conveniently located on the Queens-Nassau County border in New Hyde Park, New York, is a non-profit health care facility that offers short term rehabilitation, sub-acute care and nursing home care, as well as community-based health care' encompassing adult day health care, home health care, and a hospice program that serves terminally ill patients in their own homes or in nursing facilities, including Parker's nursing home.

The Project Assistant will support the delivery team of the organization, and their main role will be to provide administrative support fo the program. Key tasks include: 

  • Handle incoming calls
  • Organize and coordinate meetings
  • Responding to requests for information from members of the public and others
  • Ensure data and information is up to date
  • Filing and other admiinstrative tasks 
  • Assist staff in data entry when required

Required Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a college degree and will have advanced proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint,and Outlook. Additionally, he or she will demonstrate pleasant and effective communication skills.
