Office Manager/Development Coordinator-Full Time

The Parker Jewish Institute for Healthcare and Rehabilitation, located in New Hyde Park, NY, is seeking a Full Time Office Manager/Development Coordinator to join our fast paced and forward-thinking team in the Development and Outreach Departments.   


The Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation, conveniently located on the Queens-Nassau County border in New Hyde Park, New York, is a non-profit health care facility that offers short term rehabilitation, sub-acute care and nursing home care, as well as community-based health care encompassing adult day health care, home health care, and a hospice program that serves terminally ill patients in their own homes or in nursing facilities, including Parker's nursing home.

Position Overview:

In this position, reporting to the Vice President for Development and the Assistant Vice President for Corporate Outreach and Development, the Office Manager/Development Coordinator is responsible for office administration and management of both Public Affairs and Development, as well as providing support for events and other special projects.


Key Tasks Include:

  • Maintains departmental central files, calendar, personnel records and general email accounts
  • Maintains inventory of office supplies and re-orders when needed
  • Prepares and manages the mailing of donor solicitations and various fundraising campaigns
  • Coordinates and maintains all donor recognition walls and plaques
  • Prepares and processes requisitions, purchase orders and expense vouchers
  • Administers departmental staff meetings and prepares minutes
  • Assists in preparation and implementation of special events and community activities
  • Manages, maintains, and updates all constituent data in the Development database
  • Generates constituent queries and reports as needed
  • Types correspondence
  • Other duties and projects as assigned


Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 2+ years of administrative experience, preferably in a healthcare or not-for-profit setting
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple projects and deadlines
  • Self-starter; comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency within Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to multitask, work efficiently across departments and be forward thinking
  • Experience with social media applications and social media marketing
  • Experience with Raisers Edge software a plus
