Position Overview:


Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will be primarily responsible for maintaining the fixed asset property ledger, play a major role in generating payroll checks, and recording monthly general ledger activity.


Key Tasks:

  • Prepare and maintaining capital assets for annual property ledger
  • Preparation of generating payroll checks, accounts payable checks and preparing files to be sent to the bank
  • Prepare the bi-weekly FTE summary report
  • Prepare all bank reconciliations
  • Reconcile the resident funds ledger
  • Responsible for accumulating, preparing and posting monthly recurring general ledger activity
  • Account analysis preparation
  • Assist the Accounting Manager in any aspect of the Institute's accounting process and recordkeeping as needed


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • 6 months prior experience in Accounting or Finance
  • Payroll experience in particular is a plus
  • Must be proficient in Excel and Word
  • Knowledge of Quickbooks, ADL and SmartLinx, DOH software and cost report preparation a plus
